Sick Ca 74 FJ40 - still runs as poorly as my mind

74 FJ40 still running poor despite everyone's help. Here is where I am. Thing runs fine. Stop for 1/2 hour and restart it. It won't idle without full choke but runs fine at speed (rule out filter plugged). I think low idle jet. End up replacing tank (had a hole - different story) all fuel lines, blow out steel lines with air, run 2 fuel filters, pump is fine (fills carb to midline on carb site) and new carb. carb soleniod works fine with ignition. Still only idles with full choke. So-I think vaccuum. Removed line to EGR (cal carb) and plugged the line into carb (thinking EGR may be frozen open) - still runs poor. Compression test is 90-105 in all cylinders except #2 that tests at 50. Still, I don't think 50 would cause this bad of a problem (I think valve because oil placed in hole did not change comp test so I ruled out the ring - let me know if I am off base) All small vaccuum lines removed and put back in place with no change - small cracks in lines ar nipples replaced with no change- What else could it be? Timing problem? Electrical? Some other vaccuum issue? Or is it that 50 comp test on cyl#2? Appriciate any help. Getting to teh point where I may have to pay someone who actually knows what they are doing if I cannot figure it out soon. Thanks
