Here is one of my mutts. Not sure what he is, but we call him Rufus. Nothing happens anywhere around here that this dude doesn't know about. I've had lots of dogs, (5 right now) but never had one as challenging as Rufus.

Could have been fun having this guy when I was younger and single because he seems to be able to melt any woman down to mush.

I think he has some lab in him.

Hi All:

Here are my two mutts - Josie (black & shaggy) and Whiley (the tri-color one.)

Both are "rescue dogs," of unknown background.

Josie is probably a Lab and Retriever mix, I would imagine.

Whiley is herder of some sort; the shelter said he was a Shetland Sheepdog mix - with what (Border Collie??) who knows! :D

Here they are showing their support of a plumbing project in the kitchen!

Regards,

Alan

I think he has some lab in him.

We had a couple of lab mixes until a couple of years ago. Great dogs. Dieter and Gabbie. Dieter looked very much like your buddy.

That dog could run you out of the house with his farts. He would eat anything. Miss them a bunch. Throw him a bone for me, because I know he'll chase it. I can see it in his eyes.

Wow,
Big difference going from English Pointer to a Brittany. Now, those aren't really mutts, are they? Maybe I should start another thread on purebred dogs so nobody gets jealous.:D

Young Britt replaced an older Britt, the Pointer was a foundling, neither has papers. Don't give a hoot either way. A good dog is a good dog. I am developing a "thing" for Brittanies(sp?)

Here's one of the old lost Jack.......best dog in my world:frown:

We nicknamed him "silky-dog", I think it shows in this pic. That dog was in my head. He knew what I was thinking before I did. No papers on him either. Fxxxing Mutt;)

Here's a pic from last summer.

Our german shorthair pointer/border collie mix.

He's the best family dog I've ever seen.

The Elwood, found him as a stray.

After we had him for a few months we ran into a neighbor that said the family that lived in the apartment next to her moved and left him. She said he sat on the porch for about three weeks waiting for his family to return. She would feed him but couldn't take him in. When she went away for the holidays I guess that's when he got hungry, went roaming and found us. He was pretty skinny and flea bitten.

On high alert in the car wash.

We have had him for about 9 years now and he is hands down the best dog to roam the terra. Smart as a whip, tough, fastidiously clean (he won't crap in his own yard), loyal, loving and protective.

I think he has some cattle dog in him.

Pretty dog. Sorry for your loss. I'm sure you feel fortunate to have been with a "great dog". IMOP all dogs are great, but some are definitely more special than others.

Here is my "great dog", Tango. Been with me for 12 years now. She's a fxxxing mutt too. Pure bred Vizsla, but no papers.

It gets tough when they start getting this old. I'm gonna miss this dog for the rest of my days when she is gone

She's in great shape, so I'm hoping she'll be around for a few more years. Got a couple of "replacement" pups last year that are keeping her on her toes.

I should mention that you shouldn't look into her eyes for very long because she will read your mind and there could be consequences.
