Thought I'd share what my plans for the 94 are in the next couple months.

First, I've decided to ditch the rear J springs, and go with just the heavy's, and remove my front 1" spacers ... She sits too high, so all together that will lower her an inch ...

I'm buying the new Goodyear MTR's with kevlar, if you havn't seen them, google them .. they are so kick ass .. I'll be running the 37x12.50x17 and mount them on som FJ Cruiser steelies ... They are gunna be so BA !!!! The outside half of the tire is directional (like a baja claw) and the inside hald are a mud terrain pattern ... Very cool design, and seems to be engineered very well with kevlar sidewalls ...

Then comes the 4.88 gears with them. I have never done a ring and pinion install, so if somebody wants to have a party and help me, I'll buy the

I have also talked to Mike at Marlin Crawler and he is gunna build me relay and tie rod bars that will hold the big 23mm ends they carry ... From all my measurements they will fit in the front knuckle tapered holes (hopefully) haha

Then comes the welder, I want one so any suggestions? Somethings that can weld 1/4 inch ... I have so many ideas for F and R bumpers, I would rather build them than buy them ... and maybe three link the front at the end of the summer ...

Oh, and the 2000 Lexus LX470 I've been looking at ... No lockers, but it will be a street queen :D:D:D:D with 35's hahahahha ....

I haven't been doing any wheeling at all in the past year, which is strange for me. I explore every weekend usually, but with music, school, and the businesses, it's been crazy busy ... I'm planning a cross country trip sometime (shooting for end of summer) ... I'll go through New Mexico, Arizona, and loop up through Colorado, and Utah and come back North ... Just in planning stages.

Point being, I really wanna get into longer term trips with a group of guys. But my rig isn't ready yet ...

Wow it looks like you have some cool plans! One of these days I would liek to take a long road trip in the cruiser, probably to Moab.

For the welder are you looking for a home setup or on vehicle?

For gears, I plan to drop mine off at IPOR! unless I get brave before I do it, it one of those things I would like to learn, but I know I would get elbow deep in it and wish I had paid to get it done in the first place. I knew the bumpers would be that way which is why I just paid for someone else to do it.

If you are going with 37s I wouldnt lower it any. With 37's, J's all the way around and spacers in the front, stock weight, I think my 96 still should be a little higher for proper flex, but it sounds liek you have already thought about it.

When I get to win the lottery, we will take a long trip from the East Coast all the way to the West and hit every trails in between:lol:. That would be a lifetime expedition dream.

That's my plan bro ....:D:D:D:D

I'm looking for a shop type welder, I've looked at a few, but really want to find a used one, try to stay under $500 ... but I'm flexible ...

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing about the 37's and the springs, but mine is sitting so high. I'm at 5" of lift in the front and 6" in the back, and is seems so tall ... Remember I don't have flares either, so I'll have the room in the front for the shoes, plus I hope to move the front axle forward an inch when I get a welder, so ..... Maybe I'll just lower it an inch in the rear ... Now you got me thinking a little more, this has been back and forth for a while, hahahaha ....

Probably the best bet is to get the tires you want, then adjust the suspension.

As far as welders, I picked up a Lincoln from Home Depot for a little less than 400 and it welds up to 5/16" and is MIG or gasless. It was right before they changed they're line up, now they all run about 100 bucks more than they used to, not sure the change but I really like mine. I havent tried welding any critical parts like suspension but exhaust and just lots of random brackets and what not are no problem.
