Trying to pick this up....my wife WANTS me to. She actually helped find it and is pushing for it.

Sad thing is I'm not sure I want it. I need to finish my FJ43 (effort and money) and it is not like I would EVER drive this thing except in the dunes back home. I wouldn't even bring it out east with me. I bet it gets 6 MPG.

Im pretty sure that its part of the mudness..too many projects and an unwillingness to say no.

I'd just dump the money into your other project..... think Swedish mercedes performance intake and injection pump.


While it is a cool vehicle you already have the best 40 series ever made IMHO in the fj43.

You will soon have a damn awesome MB diesel in there.

Especially if it isn't going back to savanah with you then I don't see the point at this time.

Brush up on your swedish and order some MB parts for the 43

Mmmmm Myna.. You do know that Denmark is pretty damn close to Finland and I have built up enough SAS points for a trip. I just haven't figured out the customs part...

Heck yeah? I've been keeping track of people trying to build them here but no luck. I'm hoping Myna doesn't die before I can build it up. I guess he isn't that old but who knows how much longer he will be doing it.

Sadly I might have to get a new engine and or some more work to the one I got that was rebuilt. But it was s***tly rebuilt...Pulled the valve cover and it didn't even have all the headbolts in

It is going in the frame for a test fit next week though and the whole engine and drivetrain is now bolted together. I do need to order a new clutch for it though.
