I "acquired" the tag when visiting Grand Bahama island in 2003. If I don't use this one I may try to get a friend of mine in Cairo to send me a tag from there. I wish my parents had kept theirs.

i got pulled for having a tag that did not match my rear one time. I out my original NC plate off my first car and put it on the front. and by pulled i mean i was parked and an officer told me to take it off.

FWIW, I'm running one from New South Wales that I picked up on eBay. I like how it looks right at home on the bumper.

That looks awesome.

I hope you "acquired" the tag with the owners permission. Some knucklehead "acquired" one of my Yosemite National Park custom plates off my truck at a taco bell in Oakhurst CA when I worked at the park about 10 years ago, and I am still pissed off about it.

apparently my problem was having a front plate that was different, yet from the same state, as the same as my rear, "real", plate

When we were at a local Winn Dixie on the main island this tag was in some trash that was strewn around the parking lot. I happened to spot it so I snatched it up. I wouldn't steal something like that. I would be pissed too!

Copy- thanks!

I used an Australian tag off eBay for my front plate until the local police kept pulling me over. I loved that plate as it was personalized - "TONKA".

Might try it again based on this thread.

Another idea is to get an old, old plate off ebay - of course from your state - and then get a current personalized plate to match that number. Then just use the vintage one. Probably not legal but screw it.

I don't run front plates on any of my vehicles here in WA State and it's state law.

The only time I got pulled over for no front plate is when I owned a Honda Prelude and Mitsu Evo 9 MR. That's only because the car attracts negative police attention. My LC on the other hand, they never look twice....goes to show how important those front plates really are!

Off topic but I think you need some more lights! :hhmm:
