Can anyone tell me if the top of my short block is ok, big ask by pics. Unknown history 2h, neglected. Parent bore, no sleeves, correct me if wrong. The worst cylinder is number 5 which had the worst crack on the head from the pre combustion chamber. Could the top be machined, as there is some pitting? The cylinders don't look to bad as far as I can tell, maybe wishful. They could be honed.

Pretty hard to tell just from pictures. Why not download the 2H/12HT Toyota FSM and follow the instructions for checking the block. Better yet, take it to an automotive machine shop and have them inspect it, as they have the experience and tools to do it right.
