I've been running Rancho RS9000X's for a couple of years and they do okay. I originally bought them so I could set them firm for street and soft for trail. This has become a mute point as of late :D.

I don't wanna spend a bunch of money right now as I have some ideas to change the rear suspension set up and may have to change them again in a year or two or sooner if I find a real job.....

I just need an soft riding shock to replace the pne a busted at FN. Suggestions?

For a low budget setup, I would try the Monroe shocks. That's what I put on the mini. Seem to be fairly soft and have held up well so far. Monroe was running buy 3 get the 4th free when I bought mine, so the total cost was less than $100.

You can go here http://www.monroe.com/catalog_lookup/ocl_miscappinfo.asp and download the specs to all of their shocks, find the one that matches the Ranchos and then buy 'em at your local parts store using the Monroe part#.

Dito. I run the pitaful car shocks. Got em frum Pep Boys on sale. Monroe matics I think they waz.

Gary Coberly (waggoner5 on mud and pirate) swears by Doetsch Tech (DT) 3000's...I've driven his SO'd trucks with them and they work...searchify.
