I try to do a little “shop” work during the week between X-mas and New Year. So today I started on a set of 4 adjustable jack stands. These are for lighter duty, like positioning the body of a truggy. 
About a year ago I picked up 4 adjustable scaffolding feet from a pawn shop. I got them for $10 a piece, could not go wrong. I went to another pawn shop last week and picked up two old scaffold sections for $40. $80 and some work later I have 4 adjustable jack stands. Min 24 inches in height. The top above the red handle can be changed to any configuration your mind can come up with
