Shock options

Are there any stock-looking shocks besides OME's for lifted fj40s? I want the steel tube style shocks not the rubber boot style. If OME's are the best option, where's the best place to get them at a reasonable price?

I have 71 FJ40 with about 2.5" lift now but may go a little bigger later - 4" max though.

I got some HFS shocks you could use from CCOT but they are the exposed piston style vs having the steel rock guard.

There might be some extended and compressed length info in 40s tech for that height you could use to compare to different manufactures specs on shocks that came with the metal gravel guard. Ive heard rumors of Monroe making the OME stuff; not sure if its true but you could try and cross reference the ext. and compressed lengths to their charts.
