And dont forget Clayton doing an early morning fatigue life study on his door hinges and hood mechanism before leaving. i was dead to the world, but Brock said he woke him up. must have slamed every door and the hood 40 times!!! lol.


All in all i had a great time. and so did renee. the truck ran pretty well except for a few weak links. i knew my upper ball joints were bad going in, but now they are toast after bouncing up dickie bell. i had replacements but just didnt get around to putting them in before the trip.
also, my 25 year old steering components gave lose a little. the pitman arm on my truck has the TRE built into it for some reason, instead of it being part of the drag link like most. so it got toasted and was puking dark fluids and squeaking by the end of the day. so rather than beat it to hell, i parked it and rode the tougher trails with Brock.

Made for an interesting ride home though. it had death wobble pretty bad over every bump in the road. but i made it no problem

Time to order parts!!
Well, I definitely got the itch back. Like i said to a couple people up there, this was my first wheeling trip in a while, so now i got the itch back! i got to build my Nissan so i can bash it off trees and junk and not care. 4runner is too nice still.

I had a great time everyone! sorry for breaking everyone's gear and putting wood in your food. it was still delicious either way. Brock thanks again for breakfast too, very yummy!
Bryan- great Job on Dickie Bell you kept up with the LC's just fine.

you all should have stayed at Kenny and Lidia's place a bit longer, we had some good times. We stayed up REALLY late!! Thanks again to Kenny and Lidia for hosting the Saturday Night dinner, everything was so good. i am still dreaming of that Brunswick stew...YUM!

can't wait to do it again ! I will try to get some of the pics and videos I took up soon.

yeah i have about 200 pics. mostly of the back of clayton's, brock's lexus, and Drew's big 80. i have a couple of excessive, the 40 guys, and the other 4runner (green seamen?).

anyways, i dont know what would be good. i could post some on here but might just get a cheap jump drive and give them to you guys.
 
Part of the noise was me trying to open an bottle on Brock's truck. Opening that bottle made the most noise.
 
There is always one noise maker on every trip that gets close to being lynched. 3 years ago it was Glenn and his wife.

anyone got a link to their pics that dont require facebook, myspace or other membership to view?

photobucket and picturetrail are easy to use for posting pictures...then can give link that shows a slide show of all of them. I know there are more pics
 
yeah. i have all mine on a mini sd card. but i cant get onto my photobucket from work to load them up. stupid server locks us out.

so i can either email you some, or do it when i get home.
anybody know drew's screen name
or that guy with the red fj40 that led us up dickie bell??
 
Uwharrie pics and vids

Hi all,
I tried to upload my junk to photobucket, but it didnt work.guess my account expired.
so i uploaded everything to shutterfly, (mainly cause they stated in the agreement that they would never delete them and it was free)

anyways, got the pics and vids up.
it allowed me to make a quick and simple public web-page for displaying them. I know Brock already spent a lot time making a kick ass website for the official "front door" of our club, but maybe we could use this simultaneously to post pics of our events and stuff. i think they have it laid out pretty nice for viewing.
Anyway, I'm not trying to step on anyone's feet here, it was just the easiest way to load the pics for everyone to view them (otherwise i had to send individual email invites for everyone who wanted to see pics. PITA!!).

so we can use it or lose it. your call. I figure the more the merrier. What say you guys?

If you guys have good pics of your trucks wheeling....send to me and will replace pics on website so you dont have to see 20 of my current and past rigs. :) Will check it out Bryan...only problem with unlimited uploads is sooner or later they want to charge you with everyone uploading everything...LOL. Thanks
 
no problem. we can take them from the website i made or we can meet up someplace and i can give you them on a jump drive.
that might be easier.
 
brock, there are a bunch of good ones of you on daniel and rocky mountain loop towards the end of the plethera of pics

sherman and excessive, you guys are more towards the front of the slide show. anything i have of you guys on there will be from us on dickie bell.

btw- i sent bessinger some pics last night for him to put on fbook. i dont know if they went through or not cause it kicked back a couple of my emails. he will let me know i guess.
