December 2-4 is our long scheduled Wintery Mix trail run which will be our final at Uwharrie with it closing for season a week later. I plan on renting one of the Group Camp Sites that we have used for past year or more on runs....and that was also used for the recent Cruising Carolina event.

If you are looking to attend please post here so I can ensure we have the proper site and we can coordinate any other needs for the event.

The ONSC also have a run around this time every year as their last Winter Run...last year ours coincided with theirs and the three of us that camped out that weekend to brave the snow and freezing rain had a grand time after the trails were silent.

If you only make one run a year...make it this one...just dress appropriately and prepare for winter camping unless you rent a cabin.

Since I sold my 40 to my dad, I bought a 95 4runner, a 86 pickup for 200, recently quit my weekend job so I could focus more on school n work. After I quit the paint store I went to work for Mt. Pleasant Auto as a lube tech for about 7 months then the snap-on guy told me the Terry @Mcintosh Imports was hiring so I've been working for him since April n have been loving it ever since.

Tristan...glad to see you are lurking. If you can swing it...think about going with us to Uwharrie in December even if it is just to hold the crying towel and provide manly encouragement for Bessinger as he follows me up and down the trails... :D :)

That would be great. I hope you can come. I think about 4 of us from Swamp Fox will be going. maybe 1 or 2 more.
If I take my kids again I will be renting a cabin. Too cold for those little ones.
 
There has been some talk of moving the scheduled run to Dec 9-11....how would this affect your ability to attend or not attend? Please comment in next few days while I am out riding my motorcycle through upstate and lower NC for next 5 or 6 days...will be back on Monday to review.

First week works for me, after that it is duck season, and it will be busy at my work so the first weekend will probably be the the best
 
I might try and come to this but either weekend is fine by me. Thankfully I am flexible on the timing although I'm not sure about the drive up there in a 40 with no top that anything over 65 she is screaming down the road!!!
