I messed up and forgot to put the 9 Aug date in my calendar and missed it. I see there is a tentative meeting/camp-out at Carolina Beach in Oct, any idea if and when this might happen?

Don't know about the Carolina Beach campout... But my wife and I are going to Portsmouth Island with ONSC in November. My co-worker has a locked 80 (been trying to get him to come to the meetings) and he's bringing his girlfriend as well. Plus, of course, the ONSC guys will be there... They're good folks.
