LexTech LLC is moving from being on James Island for many years to a new West Ashley location (formerly Midas Mufflers) just down from Bessingers on Hwy17 (Savannah Hwy).
I spoke with Glenn this morning and he is pulling the trigger on 1 February 2014 for his move date.
I would like to see how many members we can get at his shop at 8-9am on 1 Feb to assist in the heavy lifting to his new facility...
He does a lot for the club in knowledge as well as mechanical skills....so would like to support him as much as possible.
Schedule for Day:
8-9am : Meet at LexTech James Island (will confirm...may be easier to park at new spot and carpool together since space will be limited in his old shop for parking)
12pm : Break for lunch of your choice but I plan on going to club member Michael Bessingers place just a couple doors down...easy walk or short commute depending on weather and how tired we are from lifting and moving all morning. We will also welcome new members, hand out stickers and cards, and discuss any club business or upcoming runs during this time.
1:30pm-?? : Help any final big stuff
He may need help on Sunday as well if you are available but will have to play it by ear. Last time he moved we got 80-90% of the big stuff in one day...and then small trips with parts and tools and paperwork and computers were done later.
