We have had a cookout scheduled tenatively for 15 November at my home. How is that date for everyone taking into account Clemson, Carolina, Boise St, FSU, Alabama, Auburn, Citadel, Texas A&M, College of Charleston or the act of the Fall Festival...hahahaha.

Let me know if you are good with the date or not so I can decide whether to press on with it...pick a new date....or cancel like last year. Thanks.

I will bbq either a pig, ribs, shoulders or combination plus grill some venison and wild boar sausages and hotdogs for kids. You guys can bring the sides and desserts...and BYOB.
 
I should be back in town then. I don't have any plans to go the Citadel game

I have to work that Saturday, but I get off around 130PM. I'm in! I will have to bring something cold... Maybe potato salad? And of course Holy City Chucktown Follicle.
 
so that is 3 people out of everyone here.....if no more are interested will reconsider and maybe open it up to friends and family that have been asking. I appreciate the advance notice and would like to make a decision NLT 27 October so there is time to buy the meat and other foodstuff. Thanks.

I might be able to come. Faith will be at a woman's conference, so i will need to see what I can dip with the 3 kids first. Maybe grandmothers house.
 
The FJ40 ships this week, hopefully it will be in good running condition and I can bring it to the picnic.

I'm road tripping to Gainesville, Fla that weekend - with the kid. I will anxiously await another meet & greet.....

Glad to have you here in Charleston! :beer: Brock's oyster roast is not for a few weeks. I wouldn't mind doing something informal if anyone else is up for it? I was hoping to show off the 40 to @ErikinSC next week or on Sunday… I am planning to attend Black Balsam next weekend, so I'll be out of town. Perhaps the weekend afterwards?

I just tried a Chipotle Porter at Holy City Brewery - I want to go back for another glass. Like every day.
 
I still plan on coming, but we're getting close enough that I need to plan the day. Is this an afternoon or evening, times? Where do you live? Wives (collectively speaking, I only have can handle one)? I'm looking forward to it.
 
okay...PM me if you are planning on coming by so I can have enough food. Bring a Dessert or a SIDE DISH if you are coming.....I will provide the pork bbq, sausages (venison and pork) and beverages (non-alcoholic). Will have some family and friends as well...for a general get together with the cooler weather.

Land Cruiser guys...park your rigs in the empty lot next door...you will see my LX470 over there to give you idea.

I have a big patio with some chairs and table....and also a good sized fire pit out back. Will have CornHole game set up.... bring chairs for sitting around fire in case mine are all filled. Kids welcome...no pets please as I have a puppy and she is enough to keep in control around kids as it is at 4 months old. LOL

Before you get to Red Top you will hit intersection of Main Road and Savannah Highway...turn right onto road that goes between HESS and Kangaroo. Go past Publix on your left...to light. This is intersection of Main Road and Beesferry. Go into Hunt Club neighborhood onto Hunt Club Run...go straight to back...house is two story yellow house on right...2nd home past pool. Planning on eating around 5pm with it getting dark shortly thereafter....feel free to come around 4pm if you desire and can help with final bbq preparation.....LOL
 
I am going to drop by, I have an annual hoa meeting that afternoon, probably won't eat. Do you want me to drop some cups or cokes off Friday?

Bummer… Okay, I don't think we have another meeting until next year - other than the Christmas party in North Carolina?
 
Sometimes a party can get out of hand like this weekend in Texas. This 1/3 of the town of Tarpley Texas.
