It’s with a heavy heart I’m listing my LX470. I bought this at the start of the year after a long hunt for just the right one. This vehicle is a cream puff and ready to haul you and all your friends/family through Tahoe snow or on your next camp trip in the highest of luxury.

Original Sacramento car, never owned outside of Folsom, always maintained at Lexus dealership there. Has an insane list of maintenance records on the Lexus/Toyota site. Originally owned by a real estate agent for many years for around town. Not a hint of rust anywhere on the truck.

Under my ownership:
- Flushed and baselined the AHC and adjusted for 0.5" of lift at normal height. AHC test registers 12 graduations L to H. AHC functions perfectly in all heights and comfort settings and rides like a dang cloud.
- Replaced driver seat bottom foam with OEM.
- 5 new Bridgestone Revo AT's on Tundra OE 18s w/ 1.25" Bora spacers
- Transmission, transfer case, engine oil fluids all changed.
- BT45-TOY bluetooth adapter installed in driver footwell
- Re-foamed all speakers
- Ceramic coated in March

Past maintenance includes heater tees and timing belt at 179k, as well as a long list of other items at the dealer including the factory amp, AHC bits, etc. Doesn't leak or rattle, ready to go anywhere.

Only issue is that it will eventually need a steering rack. Not pressing but probably in the next 15k or so. Slight seeping at the rack ends, bushings are worn. Have some uninstalled poly rack bushings I will include if desired. Also have a convertible rear cargo/sleeping platform like the SS1 but wrapped in matching tan carpet I can include.

I bought this for camping adventures but we just bought a house and the calendar is too full so it’s time to pass it off to someone who will use it like we can’t. Pretty sure I showed it its first dirt and only took it out twice.

MUD Price: $16,900 ($1k off Craiglist)

Interior:
Steering wheel cover was on when I purchased it. Wheel underneath feels smooth and even so I'm assuming no damage and the previous owner didn't like the wood feel.

Realizing that the carpet is showing a little discolored on my screen. Must be the light or my computer as it's extremely clean with no discoloration and was shampooed 6 months ago.

Wheels are VHT wheel paint. Properly cleaned, sanded, primed, etc. It’s on there solidly.

Grille is a rubberized coating like plastidip. I’ll be happy to return it to the stock chrome grille for buyer if desired.

No skin in this game. My gut said 12k max.

A quick check of NADA agrees for dealer pricing ($11,875)

But who knows, it’s a moving target.

Edit: And I’m cheap.

I know the market changed quite a bit but you still can’t come close to touching one this nice/desirable year/options for $12k in CA. At least not from what’s available right now.

But yeah, who knows, I’m no expert either. I’m taking a pretty good loss on this thing either way.

We all get so hung up on binary logic around pricing.

Has the item sold at the advertised price in the expected timeframe of the seller?

If not, then the price is too high for the given audience to find a willing buyer.

Is $12k too low? Maybe! But I bet he’d get it sold to this audience within a couple days at that price.

If a seller wants an ad to languish and get stale without any willing buyers, sure, $17k is just right.

Having changed a steering rack on a 100 would make me run from any one that needs a steering rack. It's a terrible job that I have vowed to never do again. That could be the hold up. Super nice LX but that alone would keep me from it. But also having just tried to buy one banks use NADA which has these around $10k which eliminates probably 80% of your buyers. So you will be waiting for someone with cash.
