My wife had someone pull out in front of her in her 2001 sequoia. She was not traveling at high rate of speed, and the damage did not seem that bad.

However, the insurance company has decided it is totaled. It is 9 years old and has 118k on it.

But I had just spent 2k on this car-- new michelin tires, new timing belt, new water pump, new fluids, new plugs. Thiel Auto did the work.

I am seriously thinking of buying the truck back to get it fixed. The adjuster said it had 7k worth of damage, but if it is less, it may be worth it to buy it back and fix it.

Do you guys know anyone who can do this kind of repair work, and is at least mostly honest? I am going to call Thiel and see what they say.

Was the frame bent on the passenger side? I have a friend that may be able to help. He is a young kid but very talented. I do not know if he has the place to work on it or not but just thought I would throw it out there.

If you decide you don't want it, I'd be happy to buy it from you for what you buy it back for+cash or parts for the 93. My wife needs something more DD friendly than our 96 that keeps undergoing offroad upgrades (on road downgrades). Looks like a project to keep me busy for a while.
