SEPTEMBER 16-17 Cloverdale Mine (Camping Saturday-Sunday)

Meet at the South Location at 8:00 am. Leave from the South Meetup Location (Safeway on South Nevada 1910 S. Nevada Ave.) on the east side of the parking lot (at usual spot) facing Nevada Ave. We'll cross-check radios and then move out at 8:30 am

This trip is scheduled to be an overnight trip. Camping location will be selected by the group. There are a couple of miners support buildings near the top of the trail. The actual mine is behind a locked gate. There are 2 lakes on the trail that you can camp near. There are a lot of other spots to camp and some are close to running water.

If you did not want to camp out, you can return Saturday night.

Cloverdale Mine trail is easily driven by any stock Toyota rig. Mall rated Jeeps may have some issues.

I'm not going to make this trip because I already volunteered to do the 4x4 Association setup with Colorado 4x4 Girls and their annual event "Be Heard" (a show n shine fundraiser for suicide prevention).

I won't be able to make this trip since my truck had the muffler rearranged by the trail to Baldwin Lake. It got caught on a rock and separated from the cat. I wanted to change out the stock can muffler since it hung down so far.
