Doing some rearranging of the garage.

Sold the 1999 Lexus GS300 with 175k miles.
Traded the 80.
Got somebody test driving the 911.
Looking to sell 2001 Triumph Speed Triple.

I was really sad to see the 80 go. I wanted it to turn 200k with me, but didn't quite make it.

Took these pics on the way to and from the dealer where I traded.
I'll give a cookie to the first person who guesses what I'm driving back.

The 80 didn't want to leave me.
I left Midtown about 9am last Friday headed for Dixon, TN to make the trade. Got off on the Hwy 64 exit and went through the car wash when I noticed the temp creeping up.
By the time I got out of the carwash, steam was coming out from under the hood and antifreeze was dripping from under the intake manifold. You guessed it, the pesky heater hose blew.

Added water, drove back to Midtown, took the 55 to Autozone and grabbed some 5/8" heater hose. A few shinned knuckles, some mild cursing, and an hour and a half later, I was back on the road.

Should have replaced it the week before when I had the starter out to replace the contacts. Oh well, it'd be nice to have prior retrospect.

No cookies yet. Wrong manufacturer, but you got the oil burner part right, though.

You like chocolate chip?

2010 335d with 70k miles.
Got it for a good price. If the maintenance doesn't put me in the poor house, I think it will prove to be well bought.

Find someone to work on it other than Roadshow. I would call Wolfsberg Auto off of Summer. Partrick Findley is the owner and one hell of a wrench.

The other is Apline Motorworks. John is a toyota guy at heart and races KOH. Great guy also.

Thanks for the tip. I figure I'll use Roadshow for the first service just so they can look it over while they change the oil. I need to get a second key programmed and I think only the dealer can do that. Need a few other parts too.

Since the warranty ran out at 70k, I'll be happy to have an independent shop do the work on it. Do you know if either has experience with the diesel?

Also, since it's out of warranty, I might just have to get a chip for it. <$300 gets you @330hp & 525 torques. That should improve on the already impressive 0-60 time of 5.2s stock.

Yeah, it's pretty strong. Never had a BM before, but I bought it because I liked the engine so much.
My only other German car was a 16v VW Sirocco I bought new in 1989 when I was 18. I loved that car, although it barely lasted 100k mi. (I WAS pretty rough on it, I guess)

335d is Space Gray sedan with black leather and sport package.

Like this one but without Nav.
