Just got my Media pass approved and am looking forward to the event...also going as part of the SEMA Power Users Tour with Optima Batteries.

Should be a FINE time!

Want to get a night coordinated to have 'MUD folks meet up...Draft House is a bit off the main strip (ok, quite a bit) but it DOES have great food and a great beer selection...

I'm thinkin Wed nite, Nov 4th...need to coordinate with Mace on that, but can't imagine why it wouldn't work...

who's gona be there?!?

I'm going to be there, but alas I will be arriving wednesday night and getting #$# faced at the casino. Then Sema on Thursday for me..... I'll be wearing some kind of Land cruiser shirt though.

You implying that I do not have a life??? :D

What is the paperwork these days to get access? Went a few years back but heard it is now next to impossible to get in. If anyone has info to get in still, shoot me a pm.

Thanks,
Goebs

hit the website, see what happens...

As this is my first year going, what can I expect at this thing???
What cool swag is given away, besides a zillion stickers :grinpimp:

Expect A LOT OF WALKING! So bring good shoes and plenty of money for food and beverages (bottled water was $3 last year, don't ask about the beer or cocktails ;)). Typical swag stuff, posters, pens and lanyards galore. It's not a retail show so it's only looky-lou unless you're in the market for 1000+ units of doo-dads to sell at your retail outlet.

Fun to see and lots of new cool stuff and of course the people watching is great too.

Be sure and pick up a schedule to find out where the good stuff is happening.

If you're not headed to the big beach happening (I don't remember the name of the event), there is a another great get together and wheelin weekend called the Hump N Bump in Logandale just an hour east of Vegas. That's where we will head after the show.

Have fun!

I called and they said I need to be affiliated with the auto industry. I will add yet another LLC to my mix this coming year. I think I might do something like parts sales.... anyone need a part? just not sure what part I want to sell.

Have fun all and see you there next year.

By the way Woody,
I told them I work with you now but they laughed and said "not gonna happen"....

Looks like we will be there, and the wifey and i can hook up with Mud folk on Wednesday night. Woody, are you leaving for SNT on Thursday am ? If so, maybe a caravan is in order.

I will be there as Disabled Explorers is showing off our new project build the W.A.V.E (Wheelchair Accessible Van for Expeditions).
Not sure if we will be setup outside or if SEMA will donate a booth again like last year.

We are the Feature Vehicle for Rigid Industries as they donated the wicked LED lightbars so stop by and see them to find out where we ended up.

I agree on the good shoes thing, and bring a should bag or backpack if you plan to pickup swag or brochures, the cheap plastic bags given away just don't cut it.

LOL

I had a booth with inovative Chain Saws, hi-performance/low emmision equipment and rescue equipment in it 3 years ago.

The only thing Auto related was that some of my equipment can easily cut up a vehicle.

Well SEMA has graciously donated booth 30193 so that our non-profit Disabled Explorers can display the W.A.V.E. (Wheelchair Accessible Van for Expeditions)...yeah I know it isn't a Toyota but I own a Toyota so that should count for something right :)

If anyone is planning to be at the show please drop by and check out the rig and tell us what you think.
The show will be cool but the real fun will be the first week in Dec when we take a Wounded Warrior out for a 5 day Baja Trip with Overland Training.

Huge thanks to SEMA and all our sponsors!

Of course there is still a ton of work to be done but if you have any experience with these kinds of projects you know that is always how it is.

Gonna be there, being a lookie-loo, basically.

Is wed nite at the draft house a definite? What time?

We'll get more details on Wed nite together soon....Mace and I have both been too busy to chat this week..

This will be my first SEMA. I'm wondering how long I should expect to take to walk through the entire show? Will one day cover it pretty well? Half day? Two days?

How about the 2nd exhibit, the AAPEX show, is that worth going to? How long to do it?

thanks

Dana

one day? TWO days?

three...and don't stop walking...if you expect to 'glance' at it all then a constant steady walking pace for 3 straight show days should cover it...

should....

if you stop to chat at all, add a day :)

I've been to SEMA a handful of times, and quickly learned to NOT try and see it all....

Wow, it's big! I might need new feet after the 2nd day.

How about the 2nd show at the other center, the AAPEX, are you including that one in your time estimate, or is that another matter altogther?
