I can't decide what to do with my old FJ60. Rust is to bad for me to keep it as a daily driver and I can't keep as a trail rig. Still runs like a champ at 180000 miles and alot of newer mechanical parts in the last few years -like, Radiator, Heater, front knuckles rebuilt, Power Brake booster, MC, Etc... Just bought an '87 FJ60 that needs nothing...Yet .... Any suggestions welcome. Located in NorthWest Colorado. Pics attached.

I'd try selling it whole. Parting can be a long and labor intense process. I would bet there's someone on here or Pirate looking for a mechanically sound rig with a body that's begging for chopping into some new configuration.

you will regret getting rid of it

just as soon as you need another radiator or engine or transmission or... you get the picture - you will regret getting rid of it... buy a good tarp / car cover for it so it does not look so ugly LOL

I know..... If I had the room I'd keep it. It's so pretty looking....thats a 10 year old paint job- never been washed. Most of the major items that wear out have been replaced on my '87. If the tranny goes in the '87 its getting a 5-speed. If the Engine goes, I'm thinking Diesel.

Couple of things to consider.
Time - do you have the time to pull apart and price each part asked for?
Priceing - Spending 2 hours to pull off a $10 part isn't cost effective
Location - Are you near lots of cruzah heads or lots of easy shipping opportunities?
Remains - what are you goona do with a 7 rusted body panels, 3 tires, a cracked dash, and a frame?

And in the end which one bennifits you the most?
