I need to fix an auxillary fuel pump to the nether regions of my cruiser. The previous pump was fixed by screws such as these, but the screw holes do not fit and I need to make new one. Can these screws be used as self tapping into the chassis for something as critical as a an in-line pump?

got any pics of the screws? but in genreal self tapping screws are ok for a pump might use some locktite

Hi Chevota Thx for the reply

Thought I attached a pic, but mus have missed something

Here goes again

Pics still did not come through.

Self tappers are probably not going to work on the frame. You can find a strap like a big electrical strap with rubber on the inside and use one bolt in one of the exsisting threaded frame holes to mount it as close to the tank as possible.

Fuel pump mounted on the body tend to be noise since the body amplifies the sound.
