Hey guys,

Any input on Rustoleum self etching primer?

I bought 2 cans to primer my aluminum roof rack, and within 10 seconds both quit spraying completely. Had plenty of volume left in the cans, just bogged right up almost immediately. I didn't have any solvent around to clean up the heads, but is this typical?

Shouldn't I have been able to get way more use out of each can before clogging up completely?

Thinking I just got 2 bad batches, but figured I would ask.

Any similar experiences?

No experience with Rust-Oleum primers but that has happened to me twice that I can remember. Once was just a dead can, the propellant had leaked out or was just not there to begin with (got a refund on that one). The second one was a nozzle that only had a pin hole sized opening, spray pattern was crap for about 5 seconds then it plugged up. A new nozzle did the trick.
