I replaced the serpentine belt and fuel filter today. The belt was a huge PIA, fuel filter was easy once I broke the nut loose on the fuel line.
I went with a Gatorback belt and WIX fuel filter.

What made the serpentine belt such a PITA? How long did it take?

It was a PIA because there is no room to work.
The new belt kept falling off the crank pulley before I could get enough tension on it to keep the belt from sliding off.
First I slipped the belt over the fan and routed it over all the pulleys and then tried to loosen the tensioner.
But I had to take the belt back off and start over, it's actually easier if you start by slipping the belt over the a/c compressor and then the back of the belt over the fan, then down to the crank pulley, then over the tensioner, power steering and alternator, idler pulley last.
It took me at least an hr to do. It is the first time I've replaced the belt on one of these.
There is zero room to work, my hands and arms are all scraped up from the fan, fan shroud and other sharp plastic bits under the hood.
The nut on the tensioner is 14mm pushing it to the left.
A helper would've made the job quicker and easier.
