Wow, I dont remember in previous years that it was exclusively a FJC event as stated in the website?

(still have bad taste in my mouth from last year)

where does it say that? I couldn't find it??? All I saw was no 2wd vehicles.

I was going for a bit tongue and cheek, however:

"Join us in one of the premier international destinations of the southwest - Sedona, Arizona - for the 4th annual Sedonafest off-road adventure. Taking place June 4-6, 2010, this year promises to bring together the FJ Cruiser community with great trails, amazing scenery, incredible raffle prizes, the renowned GPS Challenge, a new campground location, and much more! Don't miss out on the fun, this event sells out each year! Event registration will open at 8:00pm on the evening of Wednesday April 14th, 2010. Have questions? Check out Frequently Asked Questions | http://sedonafest.com/."

"Can my stock FJ Cruiser complete the trails?
  • Yes. With careful driving and possibly some advice from a friendly trail spotter, all the Sedonafest trails are passable with a 4wd stock FJ Cruiser. This being said, off road driving is inherit to possible damage and the organizers of Sedonafest cannot guarantee that damage to your vehicle will not happen"

    And maybe the banner?:flipoff2:

I was looking into this when I found your exchange with the organizers last year. How was it resolved? Obviously not to your liking, but did they at least refund your funds? I’m planning on spending time up in that part of Arizona and was interested in getting the obvious and easy trails out of the way so I could start exploring, thought this might be the way. I take it you would not deal with these folks again?

No, they are good people, great event, but the rules really P.M.O. last year. When I was going to be out of town and wanted to pass on my ticket I was told it was based on the vehicle and If I couldnt go than someone on the waiting list would get it... So when I was letting my buddy take my truck up (vehicle dependent) to use the ticket / spot, I was told that I couldnt do that either and they would check ID, as it was not fair to the waiting list again??? (rant over) I finnaly walked away...no refund, no shirt.

NO REFUND????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????:flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2:

You did ask for a refund didn't you?

A more interesting note, who knew we are limited to flicking someone off 20 times. Not 19 times. No, not 21 either. 20 times. I smell the liberals limiting our rights to free expression! Or is it the conservatives limiting our free expression? I hereby formally request the formation of a committee to investigate our freedom of expression! will be served.

I did. In all seriousness, they are some great people who I have wheeled with before and have no problem with - several are members here. I think that the popularity of the event and the limited number of spaces and possibly a "too literal" interpretation of some basic rules set up caused my  issue. Sedona is beautiful place and you should go if you have the chance.

Pete - man on fire!

try the decaf :hillbilly:

I never heard of this event before.... then again I just became a 4x4 owner since I moved to Arizona

Might be interesting. However I noticed the whole "you can't run the trails unless you are with us" deal. Sure. Good luck with that and I can't WAIT to see how the Pink Jeep people will like that. I assume they got a permit from the Pink Jeep people to run Broken Arrow? Cause you know they own that trail.

Hey murf we should borrow a Trail Edition 4Runner and run it that weekend. Bring some video cameras and run the video on the new CCTV system at the new store. Just an idea.

Murf,
Mr. Corporate Man, trying to smooth over the outrage of the little man before it adversely affects business. Should have known the capitalist were mixed up in smothering my freedom of expression! Come to think of it, you’ve NEVER had a beer with me. I admit good donuts in the waiting area, but still no beer!
X21!
(I’m thinking about having t-shirts with x21 put on it. Want one?:bounce:)

FJC people must just need group affirmation.........It doesn't cost anything to wheel Sedona.

As long as we dont mix the donuts and beer together, I'm in!

Should I take off my capitalist tie first or tie my Garcia-inspired neckwear around my head like John Rambo? <Woot>

When my shirt comes in, invite me over for a cold one  It goes both ways my recently armored friend~

Anyways...what was this thread about again>?!
