Well I just had a Disabled Explorers Sedona Day Trip cancel (it happens) but since I already changed my work schedule around, got out of a Boy Scout hike with my son and planned on getting up there anyway I figured I would invite anyone else along that wanted to run some trails this Saturday.
Meeting Time 9am with a 9:30 roll out
Location Safeway parking lot near McDonalds on 89 and Rodeo/Shelby Dr. This is the only teal arched McDonalds in the world I believe.
I plan to run down Dry Creek road to Van Deren Cabin and check that out, it is a short & quick run but interesting.
From there over to Oak Creek Homestead and picnic a lunch.
After that I will be running up Schnebly Hill Road and finding a campsite for the evening.
I will be running the Disabled Explorers Sportsmobile WAVE which means no Broken Arrow or Soldier Pass for me
More than likely I will camp out the night before as I am not a morning person. If you are interested in Friday night camping let me know as I haven't really thought out that one yet.
I will be running Ham 146.460 ( I can look up a local repeater if there will be any other hams), and cb 16, cell phone is 602 46one 6zero79 and the Spot will be tracking.
This will be a pure for fun thing, I have a few backup DE participants who have expressed an interest but I doubt I can get anyone at last minute. But realize if I do we will have someone with a physical disability with us.
So who wants to come out and play?
