Hey I just moved to Seattle from El Paso, TX. I had a 2012 FJC that I used to wheel pretty hard in NM and TX. I would really like to take my FZJ80 out but I don't know anyone or any of the trails. I've seen a couple built 80s running around here.

Is anyone interested in showing me the ropes? I really want to start exploring but don't want to go alone! Reach out to me plz!

The Seattle Cruiserheads will have their monthly meeting in the evening on Tuesday, March 8. The address of the meeting will be added to the meetings list at the below link a few days before the 8th (the location usually isn't set until a few days before the meeting date). Go to the meeting (just a bunch of guys drinking beer at a host's garage or at a local pub) and join in. The meetings are the second Tuesday of every month. If I think about it near that time, I'll pm you the address.

This is the website that will have the meeting address. The group site is not maintained for anything but the meeting locations these days. Seattle Cruiserheads - Meetings
Awesome I'll definitely look into that! Thanks.

Hi all,

Be aware that rigs take a beating on the tight trails around here. Hard core trails especially. An 80 Series has *a lot* of body.

The owner of our local Land Cruiser shop (TorFab) has an 80 he chopped and modified to survive better on PNW trails. Even so, off-camber trail portions are still dicey.

Regards,

Alan

Tuesday I'll be out of town. I have a business trip then. I've heard that about the trails around here. I don't want to mess up the body anymore than it is already so I might have to stick to less gnarly trails. I want to take it to Montana and do some car/roof camping in the summer. I'm going more overland style this time I think. I'm taking her to Torfab in April also should be a good time.
