After searching the site I couldn't find any user issues for the seat position memory functions. We're having difficulty setting the seat position memory. After following the user manual instructions, we are still unable to get the driver seat position saved into any of the pre-sets. Is there a fuse that could be blown?

With rig on, and seat and mirrors in your desired position hold the set button, and while holding the set button hit either L1 or L2 or whatever the other buttons are labeled. You should get a long beep to confirm.

Engine running or just key on?

I do it with it on.
Attempted both ways, key on and running, and got no audible beep and no memory set. I found the instructions on page 181 in the OM and followed the instructions. This is the only thing we've found wrong with the truck since purchase in May.

Hmmm...may have to hold L1 down until you hear beep. Hold Set first, never let up on it, and hit your memory button.

Is it plugged in on the back side of the door card? Common thing to forget to plug back in

I held both the set and L1 down for over 20 seconds with no beep.

I have not pulled the door panel. Was really in hopes there might be a fuse or something.

I'll give it a try.

Cheers mate,

No can do GI. :( I think the door panel has to come off. Chances are the connection is faulty...or somebody (PO) pulled the panel and didn't reconnect the wiring as @ramangain stated above.

Have a multimeter handy in case you need to ring out some wires too ....

Does your telescoping steering wheel work?

I don't know if it's a coincidence or if they are indeed tied together, but I had a similar issue where I could not save seat position AND my telescoping steering wheel was not functioning. After I replaced the steering wheel motor, I was able to save seat position memory.

I have up and down but I'm not sure I have in and out functions.

Some of these functions can be turned on and off in Techstream. Might be that PO had that done.

I talked to the PO about it and he advised that his mechanic had the door panel off and may have forgotten to reattach the wire. Will that seat memory panel pop out of the door panel or will I have to pull the entire panel? I don't want to pry on something served in place or something. Seat memory is a nice-to-have and I don't want to mess up the door panel doing it.
