My 2010 lx570 has an issue with the cool function for the seat. I can hear the fan turn on when I turn on the switch for the driver front but feel no air from the seat. The passenger front works fine. I can tell you that the fan seems to be working better on the pass seat judging by sound of the fan vs drivers side. Someone suggested checking the filter on the seat blower. Has anyone done that before and how hard to access that part? Also my seat heaters only stay warm for about 10 min then you have to turn them off and back on to feel the warmth again. I saw there is a tsb to adress this but involves changing the seat heater computer and the controller. Would like to hear from others. Thanks

If I remember correctly, there is a thread with photos on here showing how to clean the fan/filter. Go to the main 200-Series Cruisers forum section and click search/this forum and try some search words.

I've got a similar problem in my 2008 LX. I found this :
LX570 - details of the heat cooling/heating

My driver seat has poor cooling function. Little air circulation.
Find the "Seat Climate Control Blower" in the pic. The filter is attached to the underside and will twist off. Mine was a black ring with a loose pack poly-type filter. I tested it without the filter and there was a marginal improvement. Passenger seat works noticeably better.

I've previously owned an '07 Escalade with A/C seats that worked very well, loved them. Also had a '14 Grand Cherokee with only ventilated seats. They were fine because the air circulation was noticable and improved if the cabin was temps were lower.

I spent some time on my 2015 LC trying to find the filter. Found the round air intake, but couldnt spot the filter. It was pulling in air but its not blowing out much thru the seat. Hoping its dirty filter. I know that will cause redued airflow in the AC when the cabin filter is cloged. Also spent over 2 hours trying to get a seat trim screw back in but thats a different story! Can anybody point me to the seat air filter and how to remove it for inspection? Thanks.

This might be the most difficult thing I've found so far. Right up with my getting to the turn signal relay on my GS

Same boat. The fans turn on, but I can barely if at all feel anything coming out of the perforated seats. My googling suggests the following:

* Changing the air filters, I've poked down there, but nothing is obvious to grab at like it is on other cars.
* Cleaning the perforations, some people use a toothpick, others vacuum up the holes. I thought about using compressed air.
* When the foam gets old it can block the airflow, no easy fix for that.

I'll update this thread if I find a solution or improvement.

Forget where I found the part numbers... I think it was a toyota dealer in long beach, CA. I went ahead and ordered a couple for $10 each. I'm thinking if I can see what they look like, it will be easier to find them under the seat. I'll post pictures once I get them. Hopefully the part number was correct... 8892160010

@John E Davies posted this a while ago. The video within his post shows the inlet for the air on the ventilated seats and does a nice job of describing the operation of the seat.

Yep. Nice video but unfortunately either that seat didn't have a filter or he didn't think to point it out. Anyone able to do a capture and point out the filter?

Bump. Anyone find this filter yet?
