Seat belt came unstitched at floor mount, what's the best way to repair it?

I usually don't have passengers, but today I had one and the seat belt came undone at the rear floor mount bracket after a gentle tug. The belt loops through and is triple machine stitched back on itself. I don't have any sewing equipment up to this task, could an upholstery shop handle something like this or can I buy a new unit?

Was gonna say an upholstery shop might fix it. That said, I'm sure they could physically fix it and it would hold up like a champ, but like @georgebj60 said, odds are they wouldn't do it because of liability issues.

FYI, There's an automotive upholstery shop here in Vancouver BC that will make up new seat belts, and they do a fantastic job. I'm not sure that they would do it with old damaged material, but they have new belting in stock, and if it doesn't suit, you source your own and give it to them.

Whatever chemical spilled on the belt to melt out the threads will have also compromised the webbing. It would not be safe to restitch old webbing. Good choice to replace it. If you didn't, I highly recommend replacing all the belts and buckles.
