Seat a tire bead with WD40

To those of us that carry a can of WD40 in our tool box, another use you may not have thought of:

I recommend caution as with any flammable and/or combustible fluid or spray. Notice the language and tag on mini truck - not a local home video. Also, the truck is on a high lift with no weight on the tire. There are other ways to seat a bead, but few as quick and easy as this, especially on the trail! - YMMV.

A local Kiwi mechanic and I were discussing this and he decided to give tit a go. It worked great, but he didn't have any eyebrows for awhile after that...:meh::lol:
 
this is common , used inflating semi-truck tires...can't get them on most tire changers in most common tire shops, but, should not use wd-40, you should use can of 'ether'....or as mentioned above, starting fluid, and you should start with a light spray and light..then work your way up with larger sprays, until a proper result is accomplished, even then you must immediatly get air attached to the tire, because the bead will collaps quickly...
