Well, as much as I hate to say it, it's time for me to find a new home for my beloved LandCruiser. I retired last year, we bought a motorhome and the wife and I are downsizing. Since I picked this up in 2018, I've done some work to it (see my build thread here), it is always parked in a garage and I've only driven it about 3,000 miles. Mostly pleasure trips and an occasional ride to work when I was still working. Lots of photos and documentation available.

I'll go out on a ledge here and say this is the cleanest, lowest-mileage, unmolested 1985 BJ73 available. It is NOT without its flaws (see photos). Reach out for any additional questions.

Looking to get $25K $22K, with a LITTLE flexibility. I want a MUD member to have first opportunity, but will list elsewhere at the end of the week if I get no serious interest.

Gathering some additional info for another post, figured I'd add it here:

1985 JDM Toyota LandCruiser BJ73 – 4 wheel drive, 3B Diesel engine, 24 volt system, 5 speed manual transmission, factory PTO winch, manual front locking hubs. Currently has 31,000 KMs (19,000 miles).

Imported from Japan in 2018. This rig was previously owned by the Morie Construction Company in Hokkaido, Japan.

Since then I’ve done the following:

Installed new rear axle seals and bearings.
Installed new front axle seals and bearings.
Installed new tie rod ends.
Front brake pads, rear brake shoes.
Installed new clutch.
Installed new 70 series Suspension kit – Old Man Emu shocks and springs, shackles, U-bolts, steering stabilizer.
New flexible brake lines installed.
New fluids in axles, transfer case, transmission.
Blaupunkt 24V radio installed with Bluetooth, Kenwood speakers.
Installed 5 new Toyota wheels (part number 42601-60262-03) with BF Goodrich KO2 tires (235/86R16)

The only problem is that the tachometer only works intermittently.

Original Owners Manual and Maintenance Manual (in Japanese). Some maintenance records from Kushiro Toyota (in Japanese).

I’ve collected some new spare parts that will go with the rig: water pump, thermostat, glow plugs, fuel filter, oil filter, radiator hoses, drive belts and Toyota grill emblem.

Oh yeah, that COOL Japanese license plate will stay on the front!

Rich, I need to come see this in person before it's gone. I'm already mourning the loss of you selling. I think one of my boys needs it... or my wife. Damn I could even justify my dog needing it! What a gorgeous beast.

Hey! It would be great to see you. Let's try to set up a get together in the near future.
