For those who don't know... There is a weekly car show on Saturday nights at the Scottsdale Pavillions McDonald's parking lot. With the weather turning this show will start getting big crowds again. I was wondering if anyone might be interested in driving the rigs out for a night of hanging out and BSing (very similar to our Sonic meet) but in a different venue and with other hot rods and whatnot to look at while we're there. This would also be a great chance for us to get a little exposure as a club to some other LC owners who might not know us but just happen to be present that night. Maybe we bring out some info flyers for people to grab that has our info an BB address on it or something for those who might be interested to check us out.

Just a thought.

This is by no means to be thought of as us avoiding more wheeling by sitting in a parking lot somewhere else.

I got the 40 back this weekend so I'm ready to get out on the trails again.

I go there often with my civic, I might show up if you don't mind a little car joining the fun..

I recommend getting there by no later than 5pm for a good spot now that it's cooler and dark earlier. Even then the Cruisers will be relegated to the north side of the parking lot. You'll be hanging with the ricers and other late model stuff.

I think were all ricers here ;)
I rice is a little diluted with american fast food though.

We did that a couple times back in the late 90's and we had about 25-30 Cruisers out there on display with a lot of interest and attracted a lot of new members.

The car show coordinator at the Pavillions even gave us two whole rows right in the middle since we made a "club reservation" a couple weeks in advance.

Speaking of old pictures from the 90's, who the heck is this young guy and why is he smiling?? :)

He's smiling because he's driving the best built 4x4 on the planet

Dang Steve your making me feel like a relic today. I remember that trip to the Pavillions too.

I'm up for another outing, it would be a fun change from taking the wife's car out there.

My son and I hit the Pavillions last night and had a great time. There were lot's of interesting vehicles and other things to look at. At about 9:00 PM the place started clearing out which surprised me since people ususally stay there late, but reading the article on cruise central I understand where they were going. I had the same thought to bring the club in for an evening of cruiser talk with other folks who are drawn to them. I think it would be lots of fun. Speaking of the old days, I was the one reserving the spots for the AZLCA years ago and will be happy to do it again. They guideline used to be that you had to have over I believe 15 vehicles to be able to reserve a spot, and I agree that you have to be there early or other folks will start parking in your reserved spots. I don't know if anyone has anything planned for Saturday the 22nd, it's the day after our Friday night meeting, we could use that meeting to make sure everyone is aware and have a strong showing. Bman, let me know if I should start reserving.

ive taken the pig there a few times, it really does draw alot of attention from normally "car guys". and alot of comments and questions about everyhting from mods to off roading. chatted with a small group for a while about building rigs for specific kinds of wheeling.

I'm in with the 40 for the 22nd.

Read the first post ass!
