Got to poke'n around on Pirate today and stubbled across a guy in MN selling a Hendrix Formula Toyota chassis, asking $750.00 (They are $1400 from Hendrix plus shipping now). He' s got a trip planned to Florida in a month or so and will be heading this way and is gonna haul it somewhere close.

I maybe hollar'n for some help in KC or St. Louie to get this dude into Kansas if he can't haul to Wichita.

So far for my "Budget Buggy" I have;
Frame - Free :smokin:
22r, w56, t-case - case of Blvd Wheat
2nd t-case - $70
Chassis - $750 (PICS Here)
FJ60 front axle - $100
FJ60 rear axle - $50

With the Mini Truck parts I sold I came out about $100 ahead, plus have a spare motor, tranny & transfer. Got Deb talked into hav'n all the family pool the money for a welder for Christmas.

Anyone wanna gimme some 40" MT/R's for my birthday????? It's in April :grinpimp:

Recon we gonna start build'n a buggy come spring time folks

Im in the KC northland area - I435 / I35 area. If you need a place to drop it off. It could stay up here for a week or so. Sorry I have no truck to haul it down to you. But you could come up. Holly and Ethan could play for a day while we load it.

Be sure to sign up for Formulatoy.org and PM me your info so I can add you to the registry on the site.

What chassis number did you get?

Mike,

A friend of mine has a place west of Bonner Springs where he could drop it if needed.

Mark - I'm not sure ... it appears, according to Hobie, to be one of the first ten frm Hendrix. As soon as we can determine the chassis number I will.

Eddy & Bob - Thank you! As soon as I know more I'll let ya know.

I've gotta start cleaning out the garage ('79 mini truck) to make room now

Cool, welcome to the club. Took me 5 months to build mine. Prolly the only way to track it is by owner name now.

Seabass has Chassis ID tags (free) for all the owners and we'll get you one as soon as the number can be determined.

Good luck and welcome!

I'm pretty sure I'll be heading to MN for a 3-4 day weekend in January. Depending on the length I could take my bike trailer and strap it to it. I know it's real wise to to a gear change and tow right away but the trailer is light and the cage looks light. If it's something that might work let me know and I can talk to Cramer (Poser) and see if either he knows the guy or would be willing to let it sit at his shop until my trip.

That'll work. After the holidays and the in-laws leave I'll have a better idea when I can go. Then it's just a matter of scheduling with Steve.

Sickness!!!

Glad to see you making good progress on it now.

I would LOVE to have the chassis and a welder myself. I cant get the wife to let me spend the money with a future layoff pending.

Let me know when you are ready to build, I will try to get out on a Saturday or Sunday here and there.
