I just bought a used Treo, model #700wx (Windows Mobile OS).

The price was right ($50!), but I really don't know what I can do with this phone. I don't have much experience with "smartphones", and I usually just use my cell as a phone and to text message.

So now I guess I can surf the web, receive and send emails, etc...

One of the reasons I have been looking for this particular model phone is because it accepts a full-size SD card, not a micro-SD. As far as I know, the unit can read/write up to a 2G card, which is good for photos, MP3s, etc.

But I also understand I can use a third-party GPS unit with this phone:

Spectec 2-in-1 Bluetooth GPS Receiver with Micro SD Memory Slot for Treo 700wx, Treo 700w

Spectec 2-in-1 Bluetooth GPS Receiver

But, luddite that I am, I really don't know this all works. Anyone care to help a bonehead out?

I had one for a few years, was a good phone. I had no issues with it other than the internet was slow on it. I got a blackberry and I havent looked back.
Hit me up if you need further info.

You can find drivers to let it accept SDHC cards. The biggest problem you will have with it is the lack of RAM. The WX is better than the W, but with only 64mb of RAM, dont expect to do much multitasking. Plus, it may be hard to run certain programs due to the Palm's unstandard screen size (240x240 rather than 320x240).
