@mcgaskins and I have seen a rise in more sophisticated CL scams. Most often they re-purpose a previous ad so pictures and description look more legit like uploading additional pics to a Google account. They use alias that sounds legit and even use a Google account or an email domain that gives you the idea it's a real person. Prices are often just enough below market value that you hope it might just be someone who needs to liquidate the car.

In this case, those pictures are clearly not Denver, CO and I'm guessing that the ad copy doesn't quite jive with his overseas explanation. And while price is aligned with poor trade-in, we know these things don't need to be priced that low to sell. Any car dealer would give this figment seller $32k in a heartbeat as it'd quickly be listed for $40k+. The scam usually breaks down around the whole payment process when the seller is conveniently out of country or the car is located elsewhere, etc.

Anything other than a cash or a bank check transaction is sketchy.
