While coordinating adopt a trail 2N87Y for Trail Crew TLCA L.A. County, I inquired and requested the same for So Cal. Our group has been offered a chance to adopt 3N08 in the SBNF. It runs east and west near Little Bear Springs campground and Holcomb Valley, maybe 5-6 miles long. It is a four wheel drive trail, but not listed as a diamond.

Although I won't be at the Sunday meeting, I emailed Rich, Paul, and Chris the information. Any volunteers interested in a little manual labor?

Mark,
I saw your e-mail to Greg regarding the adopt a trail. If He is able to do June 17th that would be great. It had also been suggested to do some wheelin' in Big Bear during July. It's possible that we could camp and do some of the stuff that Greg outlines for us. Post up Greg's answer when you get it. Thanks.

Rich

I posted up over in the OC 80's club corner about trying to do the Adopt-a-Trail on the 17th. They're planning a camping/wheeling trip that weekend also. Hopefully we can all hook up and check out the trail and have some wheelin' fun at the same time...it's always fun to wheel the 80's. I'm figuring on having mine up there that weekend. That is unless a miracle happens and I finish the 40 (yeh right). Post up if you're available for the 17th trip.

Well Rich,...I'll be bailing for the RUBITHON that day!!! Ha, Ha, Ha... :)

Could we make it the weekend before or after the 17th to camp and wheel???

80's...what are those? I sent a pm to Newps about adopt-a-trail earlier hoping that perhaps they could take another trail.

p.s. Did you get to play with your Orion yet? I did yesterday in mine for the first time...aww it's is SWEET!

Hey Mark about that Rubithon thing...ya know, just you go and do that you bum...! Actually, I hope you get the normal good weather. Since you're not familiar with the 80 model, it's just double of a 40. : ) We were hoping to go back up to Big Bear in July and both wheel and work the trail. So, even if you arn't able to do June it should be ok. Of course if we're not able to hook up with the 80's folks then we could bump the date. I guess we can play it by ear.

Rich

P.S. I haven't started putting the Orion together yet but I have moved the parts around. Man that thing weighs a ton!

Anyone have another date that would be better for scoping out the trail and meeting with Greg?

Rich

I'd love to do that but my house is the host of my daughters Prom night parent bash and sleepover for the kids (about 18 of them) when they get back from the dance (that would 1 amish). Let me know what you see...in the dark!

Rich

I'm so-so on the 25th since its the weekend of my daughters graduation. I think I could probably swing it. However, the other dates Chris mentioned look pretty good.
