Out of my place. It'll be a fun day full of snow and obstacles, not just driving some back roads. We ran the area last year and had a blast. Let me know if you're interested.

Meeting at 0900 at Athol Texaco just north of Silverwood. See you there!

Would a heavy wagon with 31's and open diffs get around without too much trouble? It would be a drag having to be on the strap all day.

We're gonna pre-run it tomorrow, so I'll let you know what happens.

Well, the day started good. Sorry, no pictures from me, though. Maybe some video, I'll see what John and Laura shot. Two Toy minis and two FJ40s. One mini on 35" Iroks, plenty of lift, ARBs, air at 4 and 3 psi, he did really well. The other mini on 33" BFG MTs (old style KMs) with one locker and no lift didn't do so hot, he was in the rear most of the day, and we pulled him out of numerous spots. The other TLC is SUA with a 4" lift on 36" Iroks and both end locked.......He did very well consider most of his mods happened within the last 2 weeks, but he still needed the strap 3X. I've got what's in my sig line and I buried it once while breaking trail.

All in all..........snow conditions are less than optimal.........way less. At about 1/2 the way up, we found where the rains earlier this week turned to snow and it became sugar. Forward progress definatly slowed, but it was still doable.

We opened the 2nd half of the trail, but the 1st half is going to be more difficult due to the higher elevation and therefore (unless snow conditions improve) it will be all sugar - all the way.

Sorry, Arron, because of the snow conditions, I think you'll have a hard time. We have 3 tank traps to go thru, so a good departure angle will be important. It's up to you, our guys are laid back and will jump right in and help, though.

Well, it was a long day. I finally got in my house at 2100. There were 3 FJ40s, 3 Hiluxs, 1 J33p, 1 J33p Cherokrap, 1 Blazer, 1 chevy pickup, and a snow cat. The J33p broke something during the first half of the run, so we got him down the hill and he left. The Cherokrap, Blazer, and pickup all took turns getting stuck so we did a lot of recoveries. All in all it was a good, fun day though. Snow conditions were still less than optimal, but it was fun to play in. I was running 1 psi in my KM2s and doing very well, but the guys without beadlocks had a lot of issues.
