i want to sand blast the chissis and everything else below but i wanna no if this will be on with all the brake lines and other wire and also wot do i need to sandblast it. or should i just get a wire brush and do it all by hand.

thats what i was wondering a while back as well. i found out quickly that the sand blasting comes out so hard that it will rip anything thats not metal right off your truck. Most shops wont even do it and even if you avoid the tender areas you don't want blasted you'll find sand got into EVERYTHING even the places you didn't think air could get through.

So if i cant sand blast then how do you do it by hand. Do i just get a wire brush and do it like that or is there a better way. please i need help

Sandblasting will remove the insulation from wire and destroy rubber line. If you do not want to pull everything off, use a wire brush in a drill and get off the heavy stuff. Degrease everything then paint with rust bullet. Have not used it yet but all the posts I have read recommend it.

Sandblasting will also get the grit everywhere, even where you don't want it like inside your diffies!

Wire wheel in a 4 1/2" angle grinder works great. Will strip paint and rust and even bondo and undercoat. I used a die grinder with a small wire cup for tight areas.

hiya..

you could try and use one of those 3m brand sanding style open weave disc things that can connect to the drill... i used one of these to take a lot of loose bits from my truck prior to mods... bought a cheap sander to do larger flat areas..

good luck... :D
