What is the procedure to prepare a part for paining after sandblasting? Should it be washed off with spirits or MEK before applying paint?

Also, will sandblasting ruin threads? I'll put bolts on them anyways, but just wondering.

Depending on your media, you may need to sand first to end up with a factory quality surface. I lightly sand everything with 80 grit to bring the surface down to a smoother end product, then prime, etc. Do not wash with either of the products you mentioned, there's no need, and they can have a negative reaction with the paint.

i'm with texx on this 1. don't touch it w/ bare hands. just blow it off good, wipe it down w/a tackrag( preferably blue because it has less glue) spray it w/ epoxy.
