Oh man! I hope to make it again, but at this point I don't know. Keep us posted on the exact dates.

Looks like July 29th to August 4th the town is going to be packed. Hearing about 200 members going to show up. Looks pretty organized...this is bad for us..as the trails will be PACKED and some trails will be closed. I'm shooting for july 23rd to the 28th. This gives me time to stop one nite in Denver on the way there and the way back...otherwise it's just too freakin' long of a drive!

Check it out! This is the event I was was tellin ya bout.

SWFWDA Summer Quarterly Meeting 2006July 27 – 29, 2006; Ridgway, ColoradoHosted by New Mexico 4-Wheelers

Ridgway State Park will be the headquarters for the SWFWDA 2006 Summer Quarterly. Basing this event in Ridgway, between Montrose and Ouray, allows us easy access to some of the most popular trails in Colorado via the Silverton/Ouray trail system. We will be enjoying the vast network of alpine trails that is centered around Ouray, Telluride, and Silverton including Poughkeepsie Gulch, Black Bear & Imogene Passes, Yankee Boy, Governor and Richmond Basins, Imogene and Ophir Passes and more. Extreme scenery and rich local history can be expected on these trails, most of which are easy or moderate. Bring your cameras since July is a great time to see the Colorado Columbine in bloom. People looking for a little more challenge are encouraged to check out the serious trails in the Montrose area close by, although these will not be considered part of the event.

We've booked for the 23rd to 28th. Looks like the town is getting full sooner this year. I think the Red Mountain folks have some space left still. Hope to see some of you there!

later!

Kumar
