Hey folks,

It's time again to start scheduling for the San Juans. I'm going..probably the last week of July or the first week of august...depending on accomodation availability....

...are any of you planning on going again tihs year?

Kumar

I was hoping they were going to do this again this year. I have not gone with the group, though I have gone over Imogene Pass many decades ago. Mining ghost towns, easy trails, just what I like. I'd be interested in going this year. Sounds like gas will be a bear this summer though - driving out in the 40. Let me know if I can help with planning (camp grounds, hotels etc.)

I went with the group 3 years ago and it was a lot of fun. I'd be interested in doing it again.

Looks like July 29th to August 4th the town is going to be packed. Hearing about 200 members going to show up. Looks pretty organized...this is bad for us..as the trails will be PACKED and some trails will be closed. I'm shooting for july 23rd to the 28th. This gives me time to stop one nite in Denver on the way there and the way back...otherwise it's just too freakin' long of

Did you check snow levels? Our mountains which are a lot lower are getting hammered over and over with late spring snow. Some of the places I normally get into in June will be more like August or Sept. this year.

We've booked for JULY 23rd to 28th. Looks like the town is getting full sooner this year. I think the Red Mountain folks have some space left still. Hope to see some of you there!

later!

I am living in Denver all summer so no excuses from me attendance is mandatory.

OK Kumar, and whoever else. I am now registered at Red Mountain campgrounds (Silverton) starting the 23rd of July. I will stay to Thursday the 27th. Come on Bob G. / Chris R. and all, come on out to play! How much trouble can I get into on old mining roads? (probably alot knowing little red).

I would love to come out again, but it looks like I will be doing the family vacation thing during the 1st week of August and with everything that's going on at work, it's unlikely that I could get 2 weeks off at one time. :frown:

Awesome! I'm bringing some "riders" with me...frends without trucks. I have few buds hooking up with us from Denver and Alb, NM. as well. Oh and Gary Wagonner should be there as well.

...and I appologize...but what is your real name :)

Or CV Joint if you believe Craig.
Unfortunately my family is going to the four winds that week so I will be on my own, no wait, thats good! Anyway, I'll have a shotgun seat available if one of your riders wants to hitch a ride after we are there. Looking forward to it.

Silverton is just a little over a week away! I can hardly wait - though not looking forward to crossing Kansas in the hot cruiser. Kumar - Can you tell me what to look for to find your "compound" at Red Mountain once I settle in on that Sunday - any TAC banners flying, unique cruiser detail to look for?

Man, I can't WAIT!!! I'm doing a lot of last minute mods (mostly electronic)...but the heat is killing me...oh and my job (barely home, always traveling). fyi: we plan on leaving thursday nite, shop for homes in denver friday and saturday, arrive in silveton on Sunday, leave silverton friday, shop for homes saturday in denver, leave for kc on sunday. If you are in any of those areas at any of those times...let me know!! 303-507-9309. I'll be staying with mabrodis (from this forum) while in denver...and then carravaning out with him and another guy on Sunday to Silverton.

I personally won't be staying at red mountain...but a few of the folks will be. One will be a 4runner 96 vinatage (no clue what it looks like beyond stock...i've never seen it...guys name is Kinne). other is a beige mini with topper and 31" MTRs. His name is Mark Brodis. Most likely will be with his kid and maybe his wife. Super personable guy.

My wife, 2 friends and their kid, my dog, and I will be staying at: http://www.lastsunlastmoon.com/ at the edge of town. Feel free to swing by anytime...door is always open. Normally we gather at red mountain every AM before the trail and PM after the trail. my wife and I plan on eating at our regular joint eveyr AM as well...Join us!

later,

Kumar

oh, and my truck...I tihnk you've seen my truck :)
