Looks okay, says 90% of rope strength. I just went to a local industrial shop here. Lots of fishing
boats and wire rope services. They crimped the wire rope for free, after I bought the other parts.
Try asking around at local shops.

Good point. Did you go with a standard sleeve?
 
Yes, I've got two 150' wire ropes for carrying up north, and they are crimped with oval sleeves.
It's not completely necessary, but I always put a thimble in the eye, just protects the wire rope that
little bit more. I know the loggers choke wires don't so it's definitely a bit overkill, but it makes it
easy for me to attach shackles and make connections. Are you around any marine supply
places? Good source.

I'm not at the coast - but I'll reach out to some Marine guys around here and see what they can do. I had a guy rebuild the top end of my O/B motor for my skiff, maybe he can help.
