well, the time has come. I bought my FJ back around the end of october in 07, took it to the rockies, built it up, and has unfortunately not done much since. i have not the time anymore to use the Fj for the purpose i bought it for, so i'm trying to guage some interest to see if its worth it to sell the thing. how much am i asking? well, around 33k honestly. yes, i do understand that's more then the base price cost of an FJ now, but this is what's been done to it, and the time and money invested in it, you be the judge of if my price really is an unfair asking mark.
Vehicle:
07 Voodoo blue FJ cruiser Base package
6 spd Manual transmission
(you all know the rest of these basic stats really.)
Mods:
-Fab Four Front bumper without hoop
-Allpro High clearance rear Bumper
-Allpro high clearance exhaust
-3" skyjacker Lift kit with adjustable front coilovers
-Budbuilt powdercoated blue full 5 piece skid plate set (only parts not skidded are the rear diff, and gas tank)
-Warn 9.5ti winch with metal line
-Trail gear sliders/rock rails (slight bit of surface rust as i rattle canned them and it flaked off during the winter, never got around to really getting them line-x'ed. metal still perfectly fine in them tho.)
-Allpro roof rack
-gobi ladder
-spidertrax wheel spacers
-5 moto metal 955b rims (black and brushed aluminum) in 17x9 (i believe) with firestone destination MT's mounted on em (285/75R17)
-4 bridgestone blizzaks mounted on stock rims.
((both sets of tires have less then 4k each on them. i don't think the little rubber feely things on them have been truly worn off yet, would say both sets are at approx 99% tread life left))
-aux battery with selinoid switch mounted in engine compartment at passenger firewall.
-Airraid CAI
-Locking Tuffy drawerbox mounted in back (really is a sweet little thing, just a pain to assemble in the truck)
-total chaos upper control arms.
as you can see i have quite a bot of money into this truck, i'm not lookign to try and rip anyone off, the vehicle has under 7000km on the odometer. i believe at time of writing its something like 6595km. this is essentially a brand new built truck for less then the price of a c package FJ really. along with all the aftermarket work done to the truck, you can have all the original pieces (suspension, front bumper etc.) tho since you have to slightly modify the rear bumper to put the allpro one on, you probably won't want that.
problems with the truck:
- the front sway bar seems to like to rub slightly on the coil over on the drivers side, its easily fixable by either moving the swaybar forward, or just adjusting it from time to time as it seems to like to travel very slightly to just barely rub on the coil. doesn't effect performance at all, just develops a bit of an irritating squeek.
-the truck WAS in an accident this past winter. it did no damage to the frame or structural integrity of the vehicle, if you didn't already know it had been in one or have me show you where it was damaged you wouldn't be able to tell in the slightest, it really is essentially a perfectly fine running and performing truck. Truck really does need to be seen in person to actually appreciate what went into it and how well done it has been.
-one of the foglights in the bumper had the lense broken on a visit into the shop to get stuff put on it, which the shop refused to fix, and really.. its like a $20 fog light i believe, but it does work, the signal in the opposite side got waterlogged and stopped working over the winter (this is the signal in the bumper, not the main one), so really, just a couple small lights and everything works 100% perfect. and it still has the remainder of the base canadian warrenties. nothing on the vehicle really should have voided any of the warrently really at all.
as an added bonus, i'll even toss in a very lightly used High lift Jack as well as some D-ring shackles, snatchblock, and recovery straps to boot!
there is quite possibly more then 15-20,000 dollars put into this vehicle, and for 3-4k over the cost of a brand new absolutely stock base model fj you can get somethign easily trail ready. dare ya to find a better deal. but i'm guaging interest atm simply because i've drifted away from offroading and more into auto-cross type events. would rather this go to someone i know will use it for what i intended it to do then sit and be a mall crawler like so many H2's etc.
not looking for tire kickers, looking for serious inquiries only.
