You gonna make it Cllutchee? New job gonna let you off?

Hope, I talked to the HR rep & they said they were either gonna start me on the 1st or the 8th.......... I asked for the 8th;p

Clutchee got a job???:flamingo:

Shhhhhhhh, don't jinx me.........:meh::flipoff2:

Hey Darrell, add another to the list. Randal has decided to come, so please put him down.

I plan to be there Thursday morning IF I can get my junk back together by then.
Found the problem but don't have a good solution worked out just yet. This lil' gear thingy what makes the truck go in reverse is bumpin' up agin' this bigger lil' gear thingy what makes the truck go forward. Ain't quite sure how I'm gonna fix that issue short of building another transmission. Then I still gotta get all this back under the rig. Some assembly required...

Good luck, I don't do trannies or tcases. Too many little gear thingies!!

Daryl

I will be back in town on Sunday so let me know if you need another set of hands to help you get your rig back on the road.

At least you found the issue now just getting it fixed.

See everyone Thursday morning myself.

Just remove the gear thangy that makes the truck go backwards ... if you were a better driver you wouldn't need to go backwards anyways. :flipoff2:

Don't knock 'em till you try one. :grinpimp:

My 465 did that, the main shaft is two piece and the needle bearings where they join wore out. the rebuild is not to bad, the hard part is getting the two lower bearings out of the case. but it is doable with out special tools. I let mine go to long and had to replace one half of the main shaft as it wore to much to reuse.

My project for today is to ship a gutted longfield and an axle with stripped splines to Bobby and take a tire with a gash in it to the Nashville to have it vulcanized.

Daryl,

Perhaps a little late in the Game but I plan on drafting behind Bryan, Greg and Charles. It will be myself and my bro-in-law Clint. What do we need to do at this juncture?

BTW - Thanks Bryan, saw your post after adding this.....

I'll get you three added. Glad to hear you folks are going to make it!

Well, just got back from discussing this with my transmission guy. He is doubtful that this is my problem but he is going to help me build a transmission tonight anyway. Fingers crossed!

Well s*** sir! not big discovery but some times we have to say it "you broke the damn thing!"

"on the some assembly required" I think you need a real tranny mechanic or some written

instructions on how to put that thing together.

Daryl don't worry about it and fix it later.

drive kowboys 40 and show him how's done.

it's not the how capable the rig is, it's how good of a driver you're.

the usual question

DOES ANYBODY NEEDS ANYTHING FROM THE BORDER?

if any let me know, so I can go buy it this weekend.

I'm not sure I am qualified without my cheater tires - that and I can't even remember what 7,000 rpm's sound like anymore...

No Ashley = :frown:

Update on my mechanical issues...if anybody really cares...

We tore the transmission completely down last night and did not find anything that would cause the problem. Went ahead and built up another (actually converted a 2wd sm465 known to be a good transmission to 4wd by changing the uotput shaft to the 10 spline 4wd version). I'll get started putting the drivetrain back in tonight. If the problem is still there the only thing I know to do is drive it till it breaks:hmm::steer::eek:
