Hey guys, it's been a while. 1.5yrs or so since I last posted here. I took a day job to get me by since the last time I was here. Diesel prices were getting out of hand and I needed to make some more money. Well that job has come & gone and I'm back working for myself in San Marcos. I was telling a friend how I would go about replacing the quarter skins on his CJ2A and that reminded me of the FJ's I have done work on. I hope you don't consider this to be spam or anything. I'm just trying to help folks out who want good honest work without thinning their wallet.

Rust Repair, Metal Fabrication, Metal Shaping, Custom Welding and Chassis Work.

I don't do anything mechanical, I don't do suspension upgrades. I don't do paint & body. I do know some of the best FJ mechanics, best suspension guys, and best painters in the region and can put you in touch with them.

I specialize in metal fabrication, period.

I charge $30/hr labor, which is less than half that the big shops charge. I don't have employees or overhead.

Right now I'm knee deep in hot rods. Working on a '26 Ford Model T hot rod chassis that has turned into a full build and have a few chop tops and a couple more chassis builds going on.

Just putting this out there for you guys who want someone to do QUALITY rust repair & metalshaping at an affordable price. Get yourself penciled in, as I'm pretty busy right now with more work piling up. I don't know FJ's inside & out, but I do know where they rust, and I know how to fix them.

My email address is suicide_axles@ yahoo dot com

I'm in San Marcos, about a mile off I-35.

PM me for my phone number or leave yours for a call back.

Hi Jeremy,

Thanks for posting up. Yea, metal shaping folks are hard to find. Most shops what to slap on some filler and call it day.

Regards,

I hear you. Filler is only supposed to be used to smooth minor surface imperfections, not to cover up dents, shoddy body work, or rust like most body shops use it for.

I know how crazy you guys are about your FJ's so I'm just offering up my services to help keep those cruisers looking good and lasting a long time by doing body repair the right way.

Just so you guys know...FJ and Jeep bodies are very simply constructed. With the flat panels and minimal compound curves, they are relatively easy to repair. This translates into less labor involved in the repair, which means a lower cost. They are not as complex as most other vehicles with more curvature and formed body panels.

Jeremy,

How's your schedule looking for mid January? I may have a small project for you. Replacing floor pans and rocker panels, which I already have. And rear quarter patch panels which I haven't bought yet.

OK. Now I really need to find a 40.

Lee, I should be somewhat free in Mid-Jan. I'm building a ground-up hot rod right now for a customer and am hoping to have the major fabrication done by mid Jan, which leaves me open to take on other projects. I don't have alot of room at my shop, with all of my personal projects, so I can really only handle 1 or 2 customer cars as a time.

Drop me an email and we'll talk more after the holiday and get the ball rolling.

Thanks,

Jeremy

Works for me. I'll touch base with you in January.

Thanks,
Lee

Got a space in the shop open, PM me if you need some rust fixed the right way. I can also build custom rollcages/bumpers/racks/rock sliders/spare mounts/etc. From mild to wild, anything...as long as it's metal. ;)
