Does anyone have this issue?
I live in SoCal, no salting here…

Wow! I would contact Bilstein directly if I were you. It shouldn't look like that, ever. They would probably want to figure out what happened. Makes me think they must have had a problem with a material supplier or perhaps a counterfeit part.
 
What is all that white stuff? Looks like salt?
Beats me I’ve had the truck for 5 years and never left the state. Also odd that the piggyback is the only part rusted

Weird that there's rust on the reservoir only??? My lift has been on a little over a year

that looks way better and your still have that white build up…

And yes I’m by the beach but I drive less than 3,000 miles a year and the LC is in a garage all the time. And let’s say it was a daily driver, are everyone’s Bilstein who live at the beach or salted road areas rusted? Is Bilstein ok with that?
