My 94 is now producing a huge amount of gray smoke shortly after starting up. The smell of gas is strong.

I've taken it to the local dealer twice, before it was this bad, and they said it was running normally. Not too long ago, I had a CE light that resulted in some EGR work and new 02 sensors. I haven't had a CE light since then.

The truck still runs great, and stops smoking after a 5-10 minutes, but something is definitely wrong.

My oil looks perfect. I'm not losing any coolant, and it's clean.

Any ideas? Injector problem?

I need to get this fixed fast. Slee shipped my stuff on Friday, and Hanna is probably almost done with my sliders.

What is your mileage like for given driving conditions?

x2. Gas mileage is a good indicator of how well an engine is running if compared to mileage before a supposed issue.

You don't indicate miles on rig, etc. Sounds like leaking injector(s). Does your oil smell like fuel? Is your PCV valve old/clogged?

Blackstone will tell you if you have excessive fuel in the oil. An EFI pressure leakdown will also support the leaking injector.

120K miles on the rig, maintained with obsessiveness. I'm not sure about gas mileage.

I now only drive this vehicle once or twice a week, but the smoke happens on all "california cold" starts.

Oil does not smell like fuel.

I'm not sure how old the PCV valve is, but this is a dealer maintained truck and I let them follow all the schedules.
