So we on a weekend camping trip out to Lake Mcconaughey. We were fully loaded RTT, wood, fridge, etc. Outside temps at 100F, the whole drive there was fine, i didn't see any temps over 203F and was in the low 190's most of the time according to my Scanguage.

When we got there trying to find a camp site, going slow in the sand i looked down and saw 225F. Ive Never seen it get this hot before. I shut it down and we hiked to find spot while she cooled down. Today we returned and on the highway i was seeing 200-210 temps the whole way. Fuel Mileage was also VERY decreased. We got 80 miles out of 17 gallons.

After arriving home i let the truck sit at idle to see if it would cool itself down, It wouldn't and continued to go up until i shut it off at 220.
Coolant is full and no air bubbles, no oil/coolant mix so i don't think its HG. Fan clutch is engaging, electric fan is on.

Any ideas what could be going on? Looks like its the original radiator and i have not replaced the t-stat. Do this sound like its either of those things?

Thanks for any advice!
