Hello all, after searching all over Australia for a 24v VSV for my H4 transfer button, I only found a 12v solenoid suitable for the job (same as pictured in the FJ62 thread). I was planning to run a 24v to 12v reducer before the plug so the new solenoid can vacuum in and out and disengage the transfer.
Is this an acceptable method?, if the current set up is ignition controlled won't the whole set up run as normal, vacuum turning on and off as I press the button in the cab. The unit I am looking at is a redarc which should convert to 30A when it drops to 12v.
I know this is strange but my only other wild shot is a part that might match from Japan that toyota wanted $500 Aus for!!
Can anyone clarify this my local auto electrician didn't seem 100% convinced. All I am trying to do is disengage the transfer and it shouldnt matter that a reducer is involved should it?

Love my HJ61 12HT but getting parts is very frustrating!
