there will be NO RUBITHON this year?!?
Kinda bummed, as I was planning on going!!

Bummer!

I was planning on it also. To bad they decided to cancel. Can't complain since it has been at least 4 years since I have been on it and it snowed and rained so it wasn't all that fun.

That doesn't mean we can't have an awesome trip on our own. We could invite others and have a mini rubithon. Last year our personal club trip was great. Dan brought his Tuba.

Sierra trek is on! I plan on the rockin into the night run. Camp at meadow on thurs night and then friday head down to Cisco and leave about 6PM fro, cisco and then run from river to winch hill 5 for food and v. margaritas(they had takillya for those who wanted it:cheers:). There was some carnage and breakage :whoops: so dinner was about 2:00 am and bedtime was 3:00am. It was mexican food, so can you say--acid reflux! Slept in til 9:00 and had breakfast and chated awhile and hit the road. Some people stayed and camped til sunday.

We need to do some planning.

Sounds like some kind of "broke back mountain" sort of thing you two have going on and want NO PART of it!!! Lol!

"I can't quit you" lol. Hell, my boat floats so far the other way I can't even joke about it withiout getting sick. But for you Kieth I might make an exception--mmmmmm;p. Just you and that pretty blu beastie you drive.

See yuk almost just threw up.:whoops:

Which part of Solo did you miss?:flipoff2:

BTW I've been practicing the songs from Oklahoma because I know how much you enjoy show tunes. :grinpimp:

Keith-If you do plan a Rubicon run, I'd go just to annoy you with the sloooow wagon crawl now that you have the nimble blue beast in trail form!

Seriously, if you plan your own Rubicon trip, I'd like to be part of it.

I am planning the 3rd week of June with Tony, I think, but a July weekend would be good for another run.

Still have Dusy in my sights for the 2nd weekend of August.

Edit: What you Reno dudes do in the privacy of your tents is your business. I'm not judging but, you do not need to include me in that.

Oklahoma, where the wind comes sweepin' down the plain
And the wavin' wheat can sure smell sweet
When the wind comes right behind the rain.:clap:

Don't include me with those guys--I'm from Carson

Aaannnd, I'm feeling uncomfortable in my forum place. :D

On a side note, with the lack of snow, so far, it looks like Rubicon won't be a problem this year. Subject to change of course.

Umm, no. The good news is I have a friend that just bought a TJ Unlimited Rubicon, lifted on 35's that is dying to give the Rubicon a try and he has never been and has no idea where it is. So he needs a "guide." I told him that I would let him know when either the Club guys were going or my other Jeep friends were going, so I can ride shotgun. Much cheaper to be a passenger on the Rubicon. :flipoff2:

When he turns into a soup sandwich you can offer to drive for him, the best of all worlds.

No worries, like I said he is like a kid with a new toy, so any time should work for him.

OK so I just wanted to put a plug out there for Sierra Trek night run. It was great last year but would be better with people I know to wheel with and camp with it could be just a friday and a saturday if time is a problem.

Lol... I can barely wheel during the day time when I can SEE!!!

You know thats not true. And with those fancy LED rock lights it is like daytime.

Just so we get on that trail this year I'm happy.
